Child Safety
Child safety slogans are usually
very simple so the children can understand and remember
them. They are usually made to be as fun and
catchy as possible. Important slogans such as "Don’t
take candy from strangers" should be taught at home, by
the parents, and will usually also be taught at school,
through class discussion and maybe a play to show the
consequences that not 'obeying' this
slogan could have.
Below: We take educated chances with
our own health and safety, but when it comes to our children,
we can't be nearly so cavalier. They haven't learned true
safety and consequences, so the earlier we start them on the
path to everyday safety habits, the better. Having them wear
'practice' safety gear helps, as do very simple, memorable
safety mottos with cartoons or pictures.

Other child safety slogans are aimed
at the adults looking after the child, to make sure that
the environment is safe for the child. Here are a few of
each:
Look both ways before crossing the
road
Hug your kids at home, belt them in
the car
Keep medicines locked up
Use child safety locks on
cupboards
Never leave children alone near
water
Check bath water with wrist or
elbow
Keep baby safe
There is a huge emphasis on the
topic of child safety, because it is the adults'
responsibility to provide the child with a safe
environment when it is very young and then as the
child grows and learns, to teach the child proper
safety rules and manners. Children have the highest
likelihood of doing something unsafe, simply because
they do not understand or know that it is dangerous
or can have future consequences. Using simple child
safety slogans is an easy way for children to learn
what is safe and what is not.
